The GS221 is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2014. It was made in China and follows the GS121 as just the second S series model in the entry-level GIO line.
Features of the GS221 include a poplar body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups and a fixed bridge.
Unlike the standard S models which have the output jack angled out from the face of the top, the jack on this model is on the side of the body. This change presumably was made to reduce production costs.
