The GRX70DX is an RX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It is produced in China as part of the affordable GIO line.
The GRX70DX was primarily sold as part of a couple of Jumpstart packages. The GRX70DXJ (or GRX70DXJU) package included a 10-watt IBZ series amplifier with a cable, a gig bag, a strap, a tuner, some picks and an accessory pouch. The IJL70 Jumpstart Lesson Pack was the same minus the amplifier and with a voucher for online lessons.
The GRX70DX features a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil.
The GRX70 is a similar model from a few years prior with standard dot fretboard inlays. The GRX20DX is a related model with a pickguard and without the middle pickup.
