The GRX55 is an RX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2014. It was made in China as part of the entry level GIO line

The GRX55 features a poplar body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Infinity pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a synchronized tremolo bridge and chrome hardware.

The GRX40 is a similar model with a single coil pickup in the neck position.

The GRX55 had a short production run; it was replaced for 2016 by the GRX55B which is similar except it has black hardware.
