The GRX22 is an RX series entry level solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2000. It is part of the entry-level GIO line.
The GRX22 features a basswood (poplar since 2013) body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted in pickup rings and a FAT-6 non-locking six-screw synchronized tremolo bridge.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with treated New Zealand pine and the tremolo was specified as the "Standard tremolo".
The GRX20 is a similar model with a pickguard.
The GRX22 was discontinued after 2018.
