The GRX140 is an RX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made in Indonesia as part of the entry-level GIO line.
The GRX140 features an agathis body bolted to a maple neck with a natural headstock and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups mounted in a white pickguard with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions and a FAT-6 synchronized tremolo bridge.
The GRX170 is a related model with a humbucker in the neck position and no pickguard.
This version of the GRX140 was discontinued after 2004, but the model name was revived two years later.
