The GRGR221PA is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is produced in China as part of the entry level GIO line.
The GRGR221PA features an art grain poplar burl top on an okoume body bolted to a maple neck with a reverse headstock and a 24-fret purpleheart fingerboard with reverse white sharktooth position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez IBZ-6 humbucking pickups, an F106 fixed bridge, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
For 2024 the frets were changed from jumbo to medium.
The GRG7221QA is a related seven string model with a standard headstock and a quilted art grain top.
