The GRGR131EX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is made in China as part of the entry-level GIO line.
The GRGR131EX features a poplar body bolted to a one-piece maple neck with a reverse headstock and a 24-fret purpleheart fingerboard with black reverse sharktooth position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Infinity R humbucking pickups mounted in a black pickguard, an Ibanez F106 fixed bridge, a plastic nut and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
For 2024 the frets were changed from jumbo to medium.
The GRG131DX is a similar model with a normal headstock and red pickguard and fretboard inlays. The GRGR330EX is a similar model with a double locking tremolo bridge.
