The GRG121EX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It is part of the entry-level GIO line.
The GRG121EX features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of covered Ibanez humbucking pickups and a hard-tail bridge.
The GRG121EX is sold as a part of the GRG121EXJ Jumpstart package as a 2009 limited edition model in the EU. It is also part of the IJX121Jumpstart package solid in the USA. Both packages contain a practice amp, gig bag, cable, strap and various accessories in addition to the guitar.
