The GRG121EXSM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2017. It is produced in China as part of the entry-level GIO line. It replaced the similar GRG121EXS.
The GRG121EXSM features a poplar body with a spalted maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fretboard with white dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity R humbucking pickups and a fixed bridge. Controls consist of only a master volume and a 3-way toggle pickup selector.
For 2018 the GRG121EXSM is listed as having either a "fixed bridge"[1] or an F106 fixed bridge.[2]
The GRG121EX is a similar model without the decorative top.
The GRG121EXSM was discontinued after 2018.
