GR8 Natural Red copyright sprite

The GR8 is an Andorra series classical acoustic guitar model intoduced by Ibanez for 1985. It was handmade in Japan as part of the Andorra Recital series.

The GR8 features a classical body shape with a solid spruce top on solid rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with an intricate inlaid wood rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a polished mahogany bridge with a tie block, a bone nut, and chrome plated tuning machine with pearloid buttons.

The GR6 is a similar model with solid cedar top.

The GR8 was offered only in 1985.
