The GFR121EX is an FR series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It is the first FR model that is part of the entry-level GIO line. It is produced in China.

The GFR121EX features a poplar body bolted a maple neck with a 24-fret fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a fixed bridge and dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups.

In mid-2017 a new fretboard material, treated New Zealand pine, replaced rosewood.[1]

The GFR121EX was discontinued after 2018.
