The GE-500 (also refered to as the GE500 or the GE 500) is a guitar/bass effect unit introduced for 1976. It was made in Japan by Maxon as part of the first series of effects pedals offered by Ibanez.

The GE-500 is a 5-band graphic equalizer which features plus or minus 12dB control over five frequency ranges: 100Hz (low), 200Hz (low-mid), 600Hz (mid), 1.5kHz (mid-high), and 3kHz (high). It also has two switches to provide either a full-range boost and/or a boost of only the high frequencies.

It is very similar (if not identical aside from cosmetics) to the 95 Renometer.

The GE-1000 is a related 10-band graphic equalizer model.
