The GAX50 is an AX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2006. It was made in China as part of the entry-level GIO line. It may have been sold (and perhaps was exclusively sold) as part of a Jumpstart package which would have included an amplifier and accessories. It replaced an earlier model with the same name.

The GAX50 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted in plastic pickup rings and a Tune-o-matic style fixed bridge with tailpiece. This GAX50 is the only AX model with a front-mounted output.

This GAX50 was discontinued after 2011.
