The GAR40 is an Andorra series acoustic requint guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was made in Japan and it is part of the Andorra Requint series.

The GAR40 features a concert body shape with a solid cedar top on rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with an intricate inlaid wood rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a polished rosewood bridge with a tie block, a bone nut, and gold precise tuning machine with pearloid buttons.

It is tuned a fourth higher than a standard classical guitar.

The GAR40 was discontinued after 1983.
