The GA5MHTCE is a GA series classical acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in China.
The GA5MHTCE features a thinline classical body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of laminated sapele top, back, and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic decal rosette. The okume neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 21-fret purpleheart fingerboard. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a purpleheart bridge, a plastic nut, gold classical tuning machines and coated nylon strings.
The GA5MHTCE's electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup mated to an AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output.
For 2026 the headstock logo was changed from the script font to the italic block font design.
The GA5TCE is a similar model with a spruce top. The GA5FMTCE is a similar model with a flamed maple top.
