The GA40 is an GA series classical acoustic guitar model intoduced by Ibanez for 1994. It was made in South Korea.

The GA40 features a classical body shape with a spruce top on flamed maple back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with an intricate inlaid marquetry rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with a matching headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with tie block, a bone nut, and gold classic tuning machines with pearloid buttons.

The GA40FMCE is a singel cutaway model with piezo pickup, a 3-Band EQ and flamed maple body.

The GA40 was discontinued after 1994.
