The GA37STCE is a GA series classical acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2009. It was made in China and sold only in Japan.
The GA37STCE features a thinline classical body with a soft Venetian cutaway and a solid spruce top on sapele back and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic decal rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. Components include an Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge, an Ivorex II nut, gold classical tuning machines and nylon strings.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup mated to an AEQ210T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
For 2013 the Ivorex II nut and saddle were replaced with ivory plastic.
The GA36TCE is a similar model with a laminated spruce top. The GA38STCE is a similar model with a solid cedar top. The GA40SFCE is a related model with flamed maple back and sides and a deeper body.
The GA37STCE was discontinued after 2016.
