The GA36TCE is a GA series classical acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2011. It was made in China and sold only in Japan.
The GA36TCE features a thinline classical body with a soft Venetian cutaway and a laminated spruce top on sapele back and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic decal rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. Components include an Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge, an Ivorex II nut, gold classical tuning machines with black buttons and nylon strings.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup mated to an AEQ210T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
The GA37STCE is a similar model with a solid spruce top.
