For the more recent model with the same name, see GA2.
GA2
The GA2 is a ¾-sized GA series classical acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was made in China. It was also offered packaged with a gig bag as the GA2WB.
The GA2 features a classical body shape constructed of a laminated spruce top with fan bracing on agathis sides and back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic decal rosette. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a slotted headstock and an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard with only side position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, a plastic nut, chrome classical tuning machines with white buttons, and nylon string.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with nandu wood and the rosewood bridge was replaced with maple. For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh. For 2020 the back and sides were changed to meranti.
The GA3 and the GA1 are full-sized and half-sized versions, respectively.
This version of the GA2 was replaced with a new model with the same name for 2024 which has some differences in specifications.
