GA2 Open Pore Amber
The GA2 is a ¾-sized GA series classical acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2024. It is produced in Indonesia. This version replaces an earlier model with the same name with some differences in specifications.
The GA2 features a classical body shape constructed of a laminated spruce top on meranti sides and back with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic waterslide decal rosette. The meranti neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a slotted headstock and an 18-fret nandu wood fingerboard with only side position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a nandu wood bridge, a plastic nut, chrome classical tuning machines with white buttons, and nylon strings.
The neck dimensions were altered slightly for 2025. For 2026 the headstock logo was changed from the script font to the italic block font design.
The GA3 and the GA1 are full-sized and half-sized versions, respectively.
