GA1
The GA1 is a half-sized GA series classical acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was made in China. It was also offered packaged with a gig bag as the GA1WB.
The GA1 features a classical body shape constructed of a laminated spruce top with fan bracing on laminated agathis sides and back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a classical mosaic decal rosette. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a slotted headstock and an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, a plastic nut, chrome classical tuning machines with white buttons, and nylon strings.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with nandu wood and the rosewood bridge was replaced with maple. For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh. For 2020 the back and sides were changed to meranti.
The GA3 and the GA2 are full-sized and ¾-sized versions, respectively.
This version of the GA1 was replaced for 2024 with a new model with the same name which has some differences in specifications.
