1982-83 GA1200

The GA1200 is an Mastercraft Classics classical acoustic guitar model intoduced by Ibanez for 1982. It was handmade in Japan.

The GA1200 features a classical body shape with a solid spruce top on solid rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with an intricate inlaid wood rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a polished mahogany bridge with wood marquetry, a bone nut, and gold DX tuning machine with pearloid buttons.

Although it only appears in the 1982 catalog, this model continued in production until 1983.

The GA1000 is a similar model with rosewood headstock and Gold DX tuners.

The GA1200 was discontinued after 1983.
