The G205 is a five string Grooveline series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line and was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog. It may have been sold exclusively by US retailers Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.
The G205 features a Japanese horse chestnut top and back on a playfully organic double-cutaway alder body bolted to a titanium reinforced wenge and bubinga neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with only side position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez CAP Sonic Arch5 passive pickups feeding an Ibanez E5 preamp with a three-band EQ (which can be bypassed), a Tight-End Bass 5 bridge with 18mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The G105 is a related model with an ash top and back and cosmo black hardware.
