The Fredrik Thordendal series is a Signature line of solid body electric guitar models offered by Ibanez. It is the signature guitar series of Swedish guitarist Fredrik Thordendal of the progressive metal/ djent band Meshuggah.
Thordendal's has signature models based off the RG series guitar as well as one that is a wholly original design, dubbed the Stoneman.
History[]
The initial model in the line, the M8M, was introduced for 2012. It is a high-end model made in Japan by Sugi. The mass-market M80M was introduced for 2014. Both of these models were shared with his Meshuggah bandmate, Mårten Hagström.
For 2017 Thordendal and Ibanez introduced a new design, the FTM33, which is a cross between a Destroyer, a Firebird and an Iceman. This design has been named the Stoneman.
