The SR5CMDX is a five-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2022. It is made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The SR5CMDX features a curly maple, purpleheart and walnut top and back on a double-cutaway ash body bolted to a titanium reinforced panga panga and purpleheart Atlas neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail VS bridges with adjustable 19mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
