The RG970WQMZ is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The RG970WQMZ features an American basswood body with a quilted maple top bolted to a wenge and bubinga Wizard neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio IBZ pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer and a locking nut.
The RG970QMZ is similar except for the neck wood species. Other similar models include the RG970WFMZ (flamed maple top and wenge fretboard) and RG970WBWZ (walnut burl top). The RG950WFMZ is a similar model with a flamed maple top and a pickguard which was introduced for 2017.
