The RG8470A is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced in 2006. It was produced in limited numbers in Japan by FujiGen as part of the exclusive J Custom line.

The RG8470A features a AAAAA grade flamed maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with flamed maple binding and abalone Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of direct-mounted humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuning machines and recessed control knobs.

The RG8470F is a similar regular production model with slightly lower grade flamed maple top. The IRG8470F is a similar model with different finishes which was offered exclusively by retailer Ishibashi. The HRG2007 is a similar model with a lacquer finish which was an Ikebe Gakki exclusive.

The RG8470A was offered only in 2006.
