The RG1420F is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2010. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG1420F features a flamed maple top on a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V6F humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut. Unlike most Prestige models which have a barrel jack which is secured internally, the RG1420F has an externally mounted output jack with a square plate.
The RG1420F was released as a limited edition to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Prestige line. The RG1421F, which is a similar model with a fixed bridge, was the other tenth anniversary model. Just 120 examples in each finish were produced.
