The RG08LTD is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2008. It was made in Indonesia and sold as part of the 2008 Spring Special Limited Edition line.
The theme of the RG08LTD is "Sakura Blast" with a clear pickguard engraved with a cherry blossom design. It has a basswood body with black finish and red binding bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups and and Edge III double locking tremolo bridge. The clear pickguard is simply screwed to the top; the pickups are not mounted in the guard and the controls are mounted from the rear.
The RGR08LTD was offered at the same time; it has a ninja theme. The SRX08LTD is a bass guitar which is visually similar to the RG08LTD.
