The AEWC400 is an AEW series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It is produced in China.

The AEWC400 features a special grand concert sized comfort body with a soft Florentine cutaway, arm and back contours and an arched back. It has a laminated flamed maple top on flamed maple back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone rosette. It has a satin-finished asymmetric custom mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a special top-loading rosewood bridge which eliminates the need for bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.

Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" stereo output jacks. The pickup was renamed the S-Core for 2024, but it is the same unit.

For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh and the fretboard and bridge were changed from rosewood to laurel (walnut in Japan). For 2020 the fretboard and bridge were standardized as walnut in all markets. For 2022 the body length was slightly increased.

The AEWC300 is a similar model with a solid Sitka spruce top.
