The AE410 features an AE body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with standard X-M bracing on solid African mahogany sides and back with a low gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone and wooden rosette, soundhole binding and a clear plastic pickguard. It has an African mahogany and pau ferro Comfort Grip neck with a 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with rounded edges, special wooden vine position markers and Luminlay side dots. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a scalloped Macassar ebony bridge with ebony bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome die-cast tuning machines.
The heart of the AE410 is without doubt the extensive pickup system. Three pickup points (magnetic, undersaddle, contact) provide an unadulterated amplified sound, which does justice to the natural tone of the guitar. The pickups can be individually adjusted and tuned to each other via the side preamp. In addition, the signal can be passed on to the amp in mono or stereo via one or both of the dual outputs.
The instrument comes with a sturdy hardshell case.
The AE440 is a similar model with a solid African mahogany top.
