The EX140 is an EX series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1989. It was made in Korea. This version is new for 1991 and sold only in Europe.

A previous EX140 version was sold in the United States in 1989–1991. The major difference between the two is that this European version has a plywood body, while the US version has a solid basswood body.

This EX140 features a plywood body mated to a one-piece maple neck with a traditional neck joint with a metal plate. It has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. The pickups are an Ibanez EX humbuckers at the bridge and EX single coils in the middle and neck positions. Other components include a synchronized tremolo bridge.

The EX170 is a similar model with a humbucking pickup in the neck position.

The EX140 was discontinued after 1993 along with the rest of the EX line.
