The RG650 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. The Roadstar II series would eventually become known as the RG series.
Despite the RG name, the RG650 has the rounded-edge body style and swoopy, rounded headstock of the older Roadstar II. It has a tone chamber routed out of the body beneath the pickguard.
The RG650 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with an IBZ humbucker with Duo-Sound coil-split functionality at the bridge and Super 7F single-coils in the neck and middle positions and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge.
The RG650 was offered only in Japan and was discontinued after 1986.
