The RR550 is a Rocket Roll series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983. It was made in Japan as part of the X series of pointy guitars. It replaced the RR400, which has a fixed bridge.

The RR550 features a vee-shaped basswood body with a flamed maple top and creme binding bolted to a three piece maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted in a plastic pickup rings with a V2 at the bridge and a Super 58 at the neck, a Hard Rocker Pro single locking tremolo bridge, rubberized Sure Grip II knobs, Smooth Tuner II machine heads and Dead End strap pins.

The DT500 is a similar model with a Destroyer body shape and a fixed bridge. The RR150 is a related model without the flamed maple top and neck pickup, and with a maple fretboard with dot inlays and a longer scale bolt-on neck.

The RR550 was discontinued after 1984.
