The FRIX6FEAH is an FR series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in late 2016. It was the first FR series model in the metal-focused Iron Label line.
The FRIX6FEAH features an ash top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Nitro Wizard neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and no inlays. Components include dual EMG active humbucking pickups, a Gibraltar Standard II hard-tail bridge, Gotoh locking tuners and a kill switch.
For 2018 the neck was replaced by a maple and purpleheart construction and luminescent side dots were added. For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with nyatoh.
The FRIX7FEAH is a similar seven-string model. The FRIX6FDQM is a similar model with a quilted maple top and passive DiMarzio pickups.
The FRIX6FEAH was available in the US and Japan markets from July 2016.[1]
The FRIX6FEAH was discontinued after 2019.
