The FR6UCS is an FR series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It is one of the initial models in the high-end Prestige Uppercut line. It was sold in Japan as a spot model in 2016 before being offered in other markets starting in 2017.
The FR6UCS features a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard HP neck with an ebony fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, binding and no inlays. Components include a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, a pair of made-in-England Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbucking pickups, a Tight-End fixed bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
For 2018 African mahogany replaced mahogany for the body.
The FR6UCS replaced the similar FR6UC which has nickel silver frets.
The FR6UCS was discontinued after 2019.
