The FR2620 is an FR series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The FR2620 was introduced along with the FR1620 as the initial models in the "Free Style Rock" FR series, with a new body shape reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster. It features an ash body with white binding bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small pearloid dot position markers. Components include the new Tight-End fixed bridge, a pair of Ibanez Calm Crusher humbucking pickups mounted in chrome pickup rings, a teflon-impregnated Graph Tech TUSQ nut, a small tortoiseshell pickguard and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2010, the standard Wizard neck was replaced by the new Wizard HP neck.
