The EXB404L is a left-handed EXB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1991. It was produced in South Korea as part of the Standard line.

The EXB404L features a (very similar RG shape) double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, white side dots. Components includes Powersound pickups (P/J) configuration, an standard fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, a grahite nut, chrome hardware and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.

For 1993 the body was changed to light american maple.

The EXB404 is similar standard model.

The EXB404L was discontinued after 1995.
