The EX120 is an EX series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1991. It was made in Korea. This version was sold only in the European markets.
A previous EX120 version was sold in the US market in 1989 through 1991. The major difference between the two is that this European version has a plywood body, while the US version has a solid basswood body.
This EX120 features a plywood body mated to a one-piece maple neck with a traditional neck joint with a metal plate. It has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Other components include dual Ibanez EX humbucking pickups and a synchronized tremolo bridge.
The EX170 is a similar model with a single coil pickup in the middle position. The EX140 is a related model with a humbucker and two single coils.
