The EX120 is an EX series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1989. It was made in Korea. This version was sold only in the United States.
A later EX120 version was sold in European markets in 1991 and 1992. The major difference between the two is that the European version has a plywood body, while this US version has a solid basswood body.
This EX120 features a basswood body mated to a one-piece maple neck with a traditional neck joint with a metal plate. It has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Other components include dual Ibanez EX humbucking pickups and a synchronized tremolo bridge.
The EX170 is a similar model with a single coil pickup in the middle position. The EX140 is a related model with a humbucker and two single coils.
