The EWP14 is an EWP series acoustic piccolo guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2016. It is made in China. It is also sold packaged with a gig bag as the EWP14WB.
The EWP14 features a tenor-style EW shape with a soft Florentine cutaway constructed of laminated ovangkol top, back, and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, a plastic nut and chrome die-cast tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard and bridge were changed to purpleheart. For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with okoume. For 2021 the body was very slightly enlarged.
The EWP15LTD is a similar spot model with a spruce top. The EWP13 is a similar model with a Macassar ebony body. The EWP32FM is a similar model with a flamed maple top and sapele back.
