The EW35QME is an Exotic Wood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late-2008. It is a spot model which never appeared in a catalong. It was produced in China.
The EW35QME features an EW body with a soft Florentine cutaway constructed of a laminated quilted maple top with mahogany binding on laminated quilted maple sides and back with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with a secial pearloid inlay at the twelfth fret. Components include an Ivorex II compensated saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, and chrome Ibanez Smooth Tuner AS die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a B-Band UST undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez SRTn preamp with notch filter and onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
The EW3512QME is a 12 string version. The EW35ABE, EW35CPE, and EW35SPE are related models with, respectively, olive ash burl, camphor tree, and sapele pommele bodies and a different preamp.
The EW35QME was discontinued in 2008.
