The EHB1005 is a five string EHB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It is made in Indonesia as part of the Ibanez Bass Workshop line.
The new EHB design features a chambered body double cutaway body shape with a prominent upper horn and a deep lower scoop. The chambered body has an ergonomic design with a slanted back to enable the player to maintain a similar playing position whether seated or standing.
The EHB1005 features a headless design with a chambered American basswood body bolted to a graphite reinforced roasted maple and walnut neck with a roasted birdseye maple fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, offset abalone dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include individual Monorail V HS bridges with adjustable string spacing, a pair of Bartolini BH2 passive pickups, a detachable finger ramp, a Vari-mid 3-band EQ with EQ bypass switch, a locking Neutrik output jack and Schaller S-Lock strap pins.
The EHB1000 is a four string version and the EHB1005MS is a multiscale, fanned fret version. The EHB1005F is a fretless version.
