The EDR260 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was the initial model in the Ergodyne series. It was produced through 1999.
Unlike most guitars which have bodies constructed of wood, most Ergodyne models (including the EDR260) had bodies made from Luthite, a light-weight synthetic material. The shape of the Ergodyne body is reminiscent of those in the S and JS series.
The EDR260 features a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. It employs an HSS pickup configuration (with a humbucker in the bridge position and single coils in the middle and neck). Components include a TZ30 synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups.
