The EDB555 is a five-string Ergodyne series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2007. It was produced in Indonesia by Cor-Tek.
The EDB555 features an ergonomic shaped double-cutaway light ash body with curved back and scooped front bolted to a wenge and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, side dots, a graphite nut and a black headstock. Components include a set of Duncan Ibanez passive pickups on the neck and bridge positions with and an EQBII active 2-band EQ, an Accu-cast B105 fixed bridge with 16.5mm string, Ibanez Die-cast machine heads and chrome hardware.
For 2008 the neck was change to a 5-piece jatoba and bubinga and the EQ to an EQB-II DX 2-Band
The EDB550 is a similar four string version.
The EDB555 was discontinued after 2010.
