The EDB500 is a Ergodyne series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was produced in South Korea by Cor-Tek.
The EDB500 features a ergonomic shaped double-cutaway luthite body with curved back and scooped front bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, side dots, and a plastic nut. Components include a set of Ibanez DXH pickup's on the neck and bridge positons with a Phat EQ, a standard solid bridge with 19mm string, Ibanez Die-cast machine heads and chrome hardware.
The EDB600 is a related model with an Accu-cast B20 bridge and EQB3 EQ. The EDB605 is a five string version.
The EDB500 was discontinued after 2005.
