The EDB405 is a five-string Ergodyne series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1997. It was produced in South Korea by Cor-Tek.

The EDB400 features an ergonomic shaped double-cutaway luthite body with curved back and scooped front bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, side dots, a graphite nut and a black headstock. Components include a set of Ibanez DXH pickup's on the neck and bridge positions with and a 3-Band EQ , an Accu-cast B25 solid bridge with 16.5mm string, Ibanez Die-cast machine heads and cosmo black hardware.

For 2006 a new version of the EDB405 was made with a basswood body and other finishes.

The EDB400 is a similar four string version.

The EDB405 was offered only in 1997.
