The DT555 is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983.

The DT555 features an Explorer-style basswood body with birch top and ivory binding mated to a set-in 3-ply maple neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with pearloid and abalone split block position markers. Components include a trio of Ibanez V2 humbucking pickups, solid brass Sure Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.

The initial DT555 for 1983 came equipped with a Hard Rocker Pro synchronized tremolo bridge. Sometime in mid 1984 the Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo system with a Top Lok string lock behind the nut was substituted.

The DT155 is a similar model with different components.

Although the DT555 was not officially designated as a signature model it has been closely associated with Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen. Collen appeared with the guitar in Ibanez catalogs and promotional materials.

The DT555 was discontinued after 1985. It was replaced for 1986 by the Edge tremolo equipped DG555.
