The DT425 is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2015 as part of the X series. It was a spot model which was made in China and sold exclusively in Japan. It was sold with a gig bag as the DT425GB.
The DT425 features a maple top on a mahogany body with cream binding mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and split block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Classic Elite humbucking pickups with individual volume controls, a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar bridge with a sustain block embedded into the body, a Quik Change III tailpiece, gold Sure Grip III knobs and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
The DT425MH is a similar model with a solid mahogany body. The DT425FM is a similar model with a flamed maple top. The DT420 is a related model with a different bridge and chrome hardware. The DT520 is a related model with a different bridge, tailpiece and pickups.
