The DT2G is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013. It was produced in China as part of the X series. It was a spot model which was offered exclusively by American music retailers Guitar Center and Musician's Friend. A version may also have been offered in other markets as the DT520G; this was also sold packaged with a gig bag as the DT520GGB.
The DT2G features a mahogany body with cream binding mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and split block position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups with individual volume controls and coil-split functionality to simulate a single-coil tone, a fixed bridge and tailpiece and gold Sure Grip III knobs.
The DT520 is a similar model with chrome hardware and lacking the coil-split functionality. The DT1GFM was another limited-edition model which was introduced at the same time; it is similar except that it has a flamed maple top.
